iC3 FAQ

Why should I choose the iC3 basketball shot trainer?

We’re the only compact product on the market that returns made and missed shots, encourages optimal shooting arc, increases 3X the shots and is proven to increase shooting percentage-13% on average (three 30 minutes sessions a week for two months).

What is the assembly time for the iC3?

The initial assembly of the iC3 takes 30-45 minutes. Once assembled, the iC3 only takes a few minutes to set-up or take down from your backboard.

How long does it take to set-up on our hoop?

Once the iC3 is assembled, it only takes a few seconds to set-up the iC3 on the hoop. We recommend 2 people for set-up of the iC3 onto the hoop.

What tools are needed to assemble the iC3 basketball shot trainer?

Just two 10mm wrenches – not included. Additional information can be seen at iC3 Easy Set-Up and Assembly.

How does the iC3 stay on the hoop?

The iC3 self-levels on the rim of most basketball hoops. Included is a support pole that extends to pole of your hoop.

Our pole on our basketball hoop is very far back from the backboard, how far does the pole support brace reach?

The iC3 can accommodate basketball hoops with poles that are set back up to 65 inches.

Can the iC3 be used on out backboard in a gym?

The iC3 can be used on most 72” regulation backboards with padding. The back net poles will then support the system. If you have an indoor court and have questions on whether or not the iC3 will work, please give us a call at 888-887-7453 or send an email at info@airborneathletics.com.

What is the height of the net? Can it be lowered for smaller children?

The top of the net is 15” higher than the hoop. The iC3 moves with the rim, so for adjustable hoops it can be lowered along with the hoop.

Can the iC3 stay up or do I have to take it down after use?

Most people leave the iC3 up rain or shine. The all steel, powder-coated construction is engineered to withstand the elements – but, we do recommend it be removed in extreme weather conditions.

How much does the iC3 weigh?

35 lbs when assembled.

How long does shipping take?

We ship via UPS standard ground unless rush shipping is requested when ordering. Standard shipping times are between 3 – 5 business days.

Where do you ship from?

We ship from our world headquarters in Minnesota, USA.

What is your return policy?

We’re confident you’ll love your iC3. If you don’t feel the product performs as advertised, our 30 day money back guarantee is available to you. This guarantee does not include shipping charges and a re-stocking fee may be applied. See more at Customer Service. Sorry, this does not apply to use outside of intended purposes.

What is the warranty for the iC3?

At Airborne Athletics, we proudly offer a 6 month full warranty with completed product registration. See more at Warranty Information.

Where is the serial number so I can register the iC3?

The serial number is located on the side of the iC3 box or on the back of the lower frame. See details on part locations at iC3 Easy Set-Up and Assembly in the iC3 Assembly Manual.

How does it increase repetitions by 3x?

We’re the only product on the market that captures all made and missed shots and sends them back on a ball return ramp. This allows athletes to take more shots in an hour since they are not chasing down balls in between shots. The iC3 Basketball Shot Trainer allows athletes to get in more shots and focus on shooting versus chasing balls.

What is an "optimal shooting arc"?

45 degrees. Your ‘optimal shooting arc’ is the best angle the ball has when being delivered to the basket. At 45 degrees, the ball has the best chance to make it through the hoop.
